This all started my senior year of high school as part of a project due in my Reading & Writing for the College Bound class. That was back in 2018, and since then, I have been updating it ever since not only for job applications and interviews, but truthfully for me, too, just to see how far I have come. Hope you enjoy getting to know a bit more about me!
About Me
Hi! I'm Sophia Ripley!
I was born in a little suburb just outside of Dayton, Ohio and I moved to Michigan when I was five years old. I have two loving parents, a kind brother, and a family dog named Stella and my dog named Briggs.
I graduated in the spring of 2018 from South Lyon High School in South Lyon, Michigan. I am an alumni of Michigan State University from their residential college for the sciences, Lyman Briggs. I graduated spring of 2022 with a B.S. in Neuroscience and a minor in Spanish.
In the summer of 2023, I started medical school at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine to pursue my dreams of being a physician! I was at the Macomb campus for MSUCOM and now I am at University of Michigan Health West outside of Grand Rapids for my final two years of medical school.
I take my studies very seriously. Not only am I proud of what I've achieved so far, but also how far I've come to get to this point in my life. This is mainly do to the amazing friends, families, teachers, coaches, professors, and mentors that I've had the pleasure to interact with and connect with.
